Klingelbergstrasse 3
Street-facing window

‘ON HEALING: Between Breaths’ unfolds as a connected sequence of street-facing windows extending from the Luginsland Fountain to Klingelbergstrasse and Mittlere Strasse.
Inspired by the body’s largest organ—the skin—the exhibition considers the window as a permeable membrane between interior and exterior, private and public, body and city. Following the movement of water from the fountain, the works invite visitors to experience healing as a continuous flow that connects places, bodies and everyday encounters.
Extending their collaborative installation for Kunsttage Basel 2025, Violette Fassbaender, Arnold Annen and Copa & Sordes come together again in 2026, joined by Gabriella Disler as the fifth artist. Across shopfronts, the historic Luginsland Fountain and the surrounding streets, their works animate movement, water, breath, architecture and everyday life.
Together, the works form a choreography distributed across the street—a breathing organism shaped by tension, flow and release.
The windows become a permeable skin between private and public space. The current extends towards the historic Luginsland Fountain, connecting movement, water, breath, architecture and the city’s daily circulation.
Visitors are invited to move between the sites with heightened sensitivity and to rediscover forms of connection already circulating beneath the city’s surface.
