Presented across a sequence of spaces at King’s College London, this chapter of ‘ON HEALING’ assembled installation, performance, sound, moving image and conversation within a single afternoon.
The programme brought together artistic practices from Hong Kong with voices at King’s College London. Moving between the Anatomy Museum, the College Chapel and the Nash Lecture Theatre, it considered healing as an embodied and shared process—carried through images, gestures, sound and exchange.
Oscar Chan Yik-long’s installation and conversation opened the programme, followed by Hedy Leung’s ikebana performance, Kit Hung’s sound bath and guided meditation, and a screening of short videos by Luke Ching. Together, the four artists approached healing through distinct yet connected forms of artistic practice and collective experience.
Welcome by Prof. Victor Fan, Department of Film Studies, King’s College London, followed by an introduction by Angelika Li and a conversation with Oscar Chan Yik-long around ‘To Sleep and Wake Unafraid’.
An ikebana performance by Hedy Leung with ‘Rescued Clay’, followed by a conversation with Dr Wing-Fai Leung, Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries, King’s College London.
A singing-bowl sound bath and guided meditation by Kit Hung, followed by an exchange with Prof. Victor Fan.
A special screening of short videos by Luke Ching, developed during his PF25 residency in Basel and presented for the first time in the United Kingdom, followed by a participant exchange.
